Because IT professionals work in such highly stressed environment (#IT+#Stress), IT services or applications then have to provide a friendly user interface to alleviate the stress. Visualization is a useful method for this purpose.
In this blog, I discuss four types of my favorite IT visualizations (#IT #Visualization) and their variations including timeline, geo-graph, bar chart and the modified pie chart. The discussion goes through some examples and explains why and when they can be used to present and analyze the data for IT professionals. To me, a good visualization will do at least two things: telling a story and entertaining the audience.
