I wrote a blog one year ago on how to create an Oracle GoldenGate replication Hub on EC2. The discussion was based Oracle GoldenGate 12.2 for Oracle Database 11g and 12.1. The same approach can be used for Oracle GoldenGate 12.3 classic architecture.
You need at least 20GB storage when creating the EC2 instance hosting the Oracle GoldenGate 12.3 hub. In the example, I created a 100GB storage. You also need to create swap space for Oracle GoldenGate and Oracle Client installation.
2. Installing Oracle Database Client
You need to install Oracle Database Client with Administrator Option on EC2 to enable Oracle GoldenGate remote capture and delivery.
Because EC2 instance has no GUI access, all the installation will use the silent mode.
