- Data Grid allows many organizations to share data across large geographical area.
Replication allows sharing data across multiple databases and keeping them in sync. This replication is also called multi-master replication. It is a form of horizontal scaling for databases. The demands is based on the geographic data access requirements. Some solutions like Solace system helps optimized connections.
In-Memory Data Grid (IMDG)
GridGain Systems , an enterprise in-memory computing platform, providing in-memory data for high-performance data access. The system uses Oracle GoldenGate real-time replication to handle the databases changes to the GridGain cluster. This is useful in situations where a database is updated by both the GridGain cluster and the other applications that interact with the database directly, The integration allows GridGain to receive updates from the configured GoldenGate source databases automatically and will store the updates on the GridGain side.
