Many Oracle GoldenGate users are familiar with creating Oracle GoldenGate replication for Oracle Databases without downtime. During this process, it's important to complete the initial loading and make the accurate transition to change data capture (CDC) replication. When performing initial loading for Oracle databases, the CSN (Committed Sequence Number) number is used to start the CDC replication. However, MySQL database doesn't have the CSN number then we have to use the followings to start the CDC replication:
- The binlog file number that contains the START TRANSACTION record for the transaction that is being identified
- The record offset of that record
