First, An important difference in cloud is the deployment architecture. Oracle GoldenGate on-premies is normally installed on the database server to optimize performance. However, this is not the practice in Cloud. Database servers in cloud don't allow installing additional software like Oracle GoldenGate. Instead, you need to
1. Set up Oracle GoldenGate to run on a mid-tier server as a replication hub [4]
This means you will run Oracle GoldenGate remote capture and delivery.
Second, there are addition configuration steps in cloud:
2. You need to configure security rule to enable Oracle GoldenGate to connect to the source/target database [1][2]
3. You need to create secured TCP/IP connections between the source and target [3] for Oracle GoldenGate data delivery over the public network
Third, there are differences in each cloud database to enable GoldenGate capture:
3. Follow instructions for each Cloud databases to enable Oracle GoldenGate capture [1][2]
