The following example, re-position the pump process to read the xx000000 trail file and from the RBA 0.
One of the advantage of the Oracle GoldenGate is that it's processes are decoupled and can be reset as needed. To reset or re-position the process, you can use the alter extract or alter replicat command. The followings are some examples:
The following example, re-position the pump process to read the xx000000 trail file and from the RBA 0.
alter extract demopm01 extseqno 0 extrba 0
Note that you have to specify the RBA info, otherwise, you might get the following error:
2014-07-04 08:12:50 ERROR OGG-01705 Input checkpoint position 2058 for input trail file './dirdat/extract/de000000' is greater than the size of the file (1359). Please consult Oracle Knowledge Management Doc ID 1138409.1. for instructions.
