Bursting is a feature provided by Cloud Services which allows users to add resources on demand and beyond currently procured capacity. There are several types of cloud compute bursting support:

- Amazon AWS T2 instance [4] uses CPU credits for the bursting support. Users can store unused credit up to 24 hours and the unused credit can be used for bursting. T2 is a low cost solution for workload with 20% or lower peak CPU usage, but it doesn't provide a stable CPU to handle workload.
- Amazon AWS [3] G2 ESB volume storage type also has similar bursting feature.
